How about some trivia to start this review? Well, during its first two years online, Danni’s Hard Drive was one of the busiest websites in the world, using more bandwidth than all of Central America… impressed? Hmmm thought so!

danni.com is the brainchild of Danni Ashe, former stripper come porn goddess, turned business woman, whose online presence in the early days of the net, ultimately shaped the way porn does business on the internet today.

Launched in 1995 - the formative years of the world wide web - danni.com featured exclusive content of herself and quickly established a foothold in the blossoming adult online industry. With hosted servers struggling to keep up with demand, Danni established her own server and started charging the masses to access her members area, coined the Hotbox. With dollars pouring in, models were hired and the site became more diverse and has developed and expanded still further into what it is today. Although Danni Ashe no longer runs the business, having officially retired from the adult industry, her legacy remains. Ownership of danni.com has changed hands a couple of times during the past 4 years and is now owned and operated by Penthouse Media Group Inc , based out of Los Angeles, California.

Okay so that’s a bit of background history to this site, what is it like today? The word AWESOME springs quickly to mind, especially when consideration is given to the sheer volume of content, and quality content at that, versus cost (more on that later). The girls are glamorous with a capital ‘G’ and bra-bustingly, busty with a jug guzzling capital ‘B‘.

Currently, at date of review, there are over 1,100 beautiful models featured in over 10,000 professional photo sets, which equates to around 112,000 individual images available in good resolution (1333x2000). As for movie content there is nearly 900 hours, yes hours, of movies in the Hotbox or a total of 3475 if you prefer individual files. danni.com is updated daily, 365 days per year so no one need get bored here.

On entering the members area for the first time you are greeted with a simple yet effective interface. On the face of it, it looks pretty much bog standard. Top mounted navigation, with additional left panel for feature content, Top Model listing, In Bed with Danni, that sort of thing. The main section is devoted to new models photo sets, video and news  (see Members Only Preview screen caps).

Returning to navigation, that’s certainly up to scratch with no problems encountered. Basically there are just six headings, Home, Videos, Photos, Models, Red Room and Live Chat. The first four need no explanation, they are what they are.

Photos and video content are available to view online or download - zipped up for your convenience. Video format is predominantly Windows Media, available (generally) in 300k, 700k or 1000k streaming or downloadable and of excellent quality and many exceeding 30 mins. Standardised Flash is available in streaming mode only. Quicktime is listed and appears to be an option, but, this reviewer couldn’t find a download link to any videos in this format.

The Red Room is the danni.com forum and the place to have your say and get feedback from the sites webmaster. Very active forum with plenty of comments.

Live Chat doesn’t really need explaining either, but, is worthy of special mention, not least because of the interaction available to members.  Every week Live Chat becomes the porno-portal for ‘as it happens’ action!

Every Tuesday at 4pm PST  there is a chance to interact (text chat) with one of danni’s gorgeous models. Ask the right question and they just might get hot, nude and ready to act out your wildest fantasy (can’t be bad!).

There are additional options to join quarterly or monthly but nothing beats $9.95 per month. You are buying into something special… danni.com
